DFR is the PPP (Plant Protection Product) residue that can be removed by washing the surface of the leaf with a water/surfactant solution. DFR studies can be used for determining the dissipation rate of the PPP, assist in determining the environmental load of the PPP, and estimating the exposure potential of field workers performing routine manual maintenance activities on crop.
